HOW DO I RESERVE A JUKEBOX?
To request a rental, click the "Book Online" button above, and complete the form. A formal agreement will be sent by email for your review. We require a $100 deposit to reserve a jukebox, with the balance of $475 plus sales tax paid at time of delivery.
To rent a jukebox, you will need to provide a suitable location— dry, level, & secure, with access to electricity—and ensure that we can access it at time of delivery and collection. A jukebox can be delivered over a few steps, but cannot be taken up or down a flight of stairs without extra manpower. You will need to provide contacts for payment, delivery and collection. There must be someone at the event who will call if there are any operational questions.
WHICH PAYMENT METHODS DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept online credit card payments (via Paypal), cash and checks.
What if there's a problem?
The jukebox will be tested on-site, and its use demonstrated. In the unlikely event of an issue, the event contact must call immediately. If circumstances permit, a technician will be dispatched to correct the matter.
Our formal rental agreement assigns you responsibility for any damage to or loss of the jukebox while in your location, including by theft, fire, water or any other cause. Our liability is limited to the charge for rental.
Refunds and/or discounts are available only if there is a disabling malfunction with the jukebox during the event.
Can I use my own records?
You are welcome to supply your own records, which New York Jukebox will install for no additional charge. However, you will need to supply us with information for title strips in advance, and have the records prepared before the jukebox is delivered.
WHAT IF I WANT TO RENT A DIFFERENT MODEL JUKEBOX?
At this time, New York Jukebox offers only the Seeburg HF100R. Other jukeboxes have their charms, but none sound better. For more detail, see the 1954 Seeburg brouchure.
New York Jukebox was founded in 2016 by Terry Swords, ten years after his wife gave him a jukebox.
His earliest career ambition was to be a disk jockey.
He had served in New York City’s public schools as a teacher and administrator for nearly 20 years, completing his career as an educator in Sudan with his family. Since then, Terry’s been absorbed by jukebox technicians’ manuals, electronics textbooks, back issues of trade magazines, and hobbyists’ handbooks. He is grateful to the wise elders who tended jukeboxes when they were the cornerstone of the music industry, many of whom are very generous with their time and knowledge.
